Monique Wray is an artist living in San Francisco.
She’s originally from Miami and completed a Computer Animation degree there in 2009. Post graduation she worked in design and animation out of Miami for a few years before moving to San Francisco in 2015 to work in motion design. Her current practice embodies all the digital tools she’s learned during that time and her lifelong practice with traditional mediums. Her graphic style is a merger of those worlds, and is inspired by the anime and comics she emulated drawing growing up and is also informed by her time working in design.
Her output includes animation, illustration, comics, photography, and paintings. This site is a mix of her personal and client work. She loves telling her own visual stories as well as helping others visually bring to life their ideas.
She’s grateful to have amassed a client list that includes the New York Times, Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, Sierra Club, Google, Apple, Youtube, Mother Jones Magazine, Disney, Nick Jr., GIPHY, Quickbooks, The New Republic, and ABC.
